                    Hi
I bought 2 items online from Sports Direct, one of which had some holes in when they arrived.
Therefore I had to return it, which cost me £2.20 second class.
I wrote on the return form asking them to refund my postage cost as well but Sports Direct have only refunded me the cost of the item, and therefore I am £2.20 out of pocket.
They also didn't refund any the original £4 postage cost I paid when I ordered, although they charge a flat rate £4 so I wasn't expecting this back as I still have the other item.
Do I have any right to the £2.20 back? It seems unfair that I am out of pocket due to their error, and they are not.
Thanks

Yes they should bear any necessary costs if the goods was faulty. Getting them to do so may be a difference matter altogether0

I had something similar just before Christmas in that I had to return something (very dubious description and in wrong catagory so I received adults shorts not the kids I was expecting,)
They only refunded the item cost and then igonred my several emails on their contact form (I gave up trying to phone them as it was always still after 15 mins that my call was important to them..
Anyway..I finally said that if they did not refund my original postage paid within 48 hours I would contact the media, who had been taking an interest in retailers breaking the Distance selling regulations - and within about 12 hours I had an apology and the refund for the original postage cost
I know it was not a lot,- £3.99 I think but it was seriously getting on my nerves that they were ignoring me , and blatantly breaking the law..
so keep going..0
