It's not insomnia, it's poor self-control.0

My husband is the same. He made a rule for himself - no screens in the bedroom, so he leaves his smartphone and tablet downstairs each night and sleeps much better as a result.0

Leave it downstairs to charge overnight..0

I almost LoL at this.. this is an issue I have with my 12 y/o. That isn't insomnia it is just not going to bed to sleep. Why is it even upstairs?
My daughter has to leave her things downstairs now because she would play on them all night and not sleep.
I go to bed half an hour earlier, play a couple of rounds of solitaire or sudoku on my phone and go to sleep once the bed is warm and cosy. I used to read or do actual sudoku with a pencil and everything but figured this was less expensive and less wasteful (paper puzzle in the bin kinda thinking)

Never have any laptops, computers, smart phones, tablets, tellies in the bedroom. Bedrooms are for sleep and jiggy, nothing else."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

And as others have said- this isn't insomnia. Insomnia is when you are lying down in bed in the dark trying to sleep and can't for hours and hours. You aren't trying to sleep as you are playing games.
You need to leave the ipad downstairs.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0
