Reclaiming Charges from Barclaycard
Nesty
I was going through some old paperwork and letters from Barclaycard.
I had a dispute with them over claiming charges back on my credit cards I had with them. The letter was dated in 2007. However, I remember them offering me a settlement of around £575, but they never paid it to me. I moved shortly after this offer, so it got forgotten etc.
Can I go back to them about this or is it long gone?
I am also convinced they charged me PPI on the 2 credit cards I had with them from 1999 to 2007. Can I also write to them about that as well?
The only thing which bothers me about Barclaycard is that I have a payment plan agreement with them. I had a credit card with EGG, which I had difficulty paying. Barclaycard took over EGG and the debt was transfered to Barclaycard.
Barclaycard gave me a reasonable payment plan, which I am keeping too. I am a bit worried if I start putting a stick into the hornets nest, will my payment plan will be affected.
I suppose any monies, which I am owed via charges/PPI claims. Barclaycard will just offset that against my debt plan & no monies be issued to me?

Have you got any letters stating the settlement figure they quoted you? It was so long ago but you can only try and see if they will agree to pay.
As for the PPI, what reasons do you have for a mis-sale? Again, you will need to find evidence to support your claim.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
I don't have any letters stating the settlement. Tho it was within the last 7 years so should be on file.
I think the ppi was just added as default. I never asked for it. Then when realised I stopped it.0
