This is normal. Prepayment is not purchasing fuel, it is making a payment on account. When you transfer the account is closed and a final bill is prepared by adding up all your payments against your usage. The new key system keeps errors to a minimum, but I have known in the past that customers get huge bills on their prepayment meter because the price of electricity has not been adjusted on their meter following a price increase.

    Hi robbiej113,

This final bill may be due to standing charges or a small amount of debt.

If you'd like me to check it over then please send me your details to forumresponse@npower.com

    Many thanks,

    Adam
