My ex won't let me sell our house at market value

Hi I am also having enormous problems as I am trying to sell my house as I am struggling to pay the mortgage since my husband and I separated. The house has been on the market for 18 months but the trouble is it is too highly priced but my soon to be ex husband refuses to lower the market price to the price advised by the estate agents so that it will actually sell. I am paying the mortgage on my own and struggling to do this with other debts I have as well. I am taking him to court to try and get this resolved but I have now just been told that my final hearing date isn't until 5 April which means I have another 3 months to pay before I get a decision and even after then I still have to sell the house. Any advice anybody can give me will be gratefully received.

Why are you paying all the mortgage if in both names?0

Because he refuses to pay and doesn't care if the house gets repossessed!0

Oh dear so he has you over a barrel then, do you get his half of payments once house sold?0

It isn't fair that you pay all the mortgage and he gets half the proceeds! Have you seen a solicitor, i'm surprised that a solicitor has negotiated such a poor deal for you.
You describe him in your post as your "husband" and then your "ex husband" - at what stage of the divorce are you in? Do you have children and how old are they and how long were you married forOveractively underachieving for almost half a century0 -
Call his bluff, tell him you are no longer going to pay and are happy to let it get re possessed. See if it changes his thinking.0
