Does Lenovo cashback work?

Hi, I'm thinking of getting a Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E135 to replace my aging Samsung netbook. (criteria: small size, light weight, matte screen, long battery life, good build quality, low price).

It's available direct from Lenovo for £350.

But saveonlaptops.co.uk have it for £384.84, minus £50 cashback you claim from Lenovo. That makes £334.84 if the cashback works, saving £15. (sorry I am not allowed to post a link here).

I have never used saveonlaptops or claimed cashback of any kind. Apparently you have to claim it between 30 and 60 days from the invoice date. Anyone know if it works? Are saveonlaptops any good?

i bought this netbook from saveonlaptops but got off ebay for £269.99 i am waiting for the £50 cashback from lenovo.saveonlaptops ok ordered on the friday got delivered on the monday just upgraded to windows 8.

That's a great price, I can't find an E135 at anything like that price now. Yes I saw the offer ends at end of Jan. Good luck with the cashback, hope it turns up.

I've bought same as allan1954 from saveonlaptops at ebay for £269.99 (through Quidco -£2 by Amex -5%cashback). Though it is E335 not E135, still great for the price and the keyboard is amazing. Lenovo site https://www.lenovo-promotions.com/contact specify that it will take 56 days from the date of cashback validation (email confirmation) for the money to show on the account. Plus up to 5 extra days in the event of bank transfer delays

You were fortunate to get your cashback. I have just received an email from Lenovo stating that they have cancelled my application as I had not sent the invoice by the required date. I had had to request the invoice from save-on-laptops (Ebay) as it had not been enclosed with the E335 laptop delivery, nor emailed, although I did send every other piece of information to Lenovo to confirm my order. When I received the e-invoice last week, I emailed it TWICE in the week to Lenovo, to no avail it seems. I asked for confirmation of receipt several times but they communicated nothing until today.

Reading other forums around the world, it seems that Lenovo have a tendency to renege on this deal, which has been offered periodically. I want to return the laptop for refund as the cashback was the main attraction of the deal for me. Also seeking legal advice.
Anyone got any other suggestions?

i got no paper invoice from saveonlaptops the invoice is in your account you had to send a pdf file to lenovo.

Lenovo tend to be good about their cashback as long as you go through another comapny to get it.
