Going out for my wifes 30th in Bath and was looking for some cheap pubs and a good nightclub if anyone could recommend anything?

Music mainly R+B and chart music with some cheese!

If anyone knew where you could park for free of the evening, that would be a great bonus!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Parking, in Bath? That's a novel concept, isn't it? I didn't think you could even drive into most of it these days (rising bollards, NOT something you want to argue with!)

Sorry, can't help beyond that ...

Charlotte Street car park is free after 8pm I think.

    When are you going?
There is a lively Pub in Walcot Street called 'The Bell'.
It has live music. There are websites that give you info about what is happening in the city.
You can park on the street, single yellows are OK. If you are going out celebrating though, wouldn't it be better to get a Taxi then you won't need to worry about parking. Have a good time. :)

Thanks, going in Feb. Taxi would be easier but we live 30 mins away and it would cost a fortune.

No unfortunately - have looked at Ibis, Travelodge and PremierInn

But what about lastminute, laterooms, booking.com and hotels.com? I know they don't cover all the chains, but I find I can often pick up something reasonable through one of those sites.

  • Just visited Bath for my Partners 32nd, we did go on a monday night which isn't the most exciting time to party but Rev's and the Slug and Lettuce are where most people start. Both are in spitting distance on George St.

George street was quite far from our hotel, so we stumbled into the several bars before hand, all of which were far less corporate but all lovely. We ended up in a club called 'moles', which played trance. Didn't hear any Rnb all night, we did hear lots of cheese and saw a few guitarists playing Ed sheeran... but that could be owing to the night we went.

    Hope you have fun.
