    Ah yes missed that bit. Leave it alone, get the landlord to sort it. Don't risk your deposit by trying to sort it yourself.
  • I had the same problem, remove the cistern cover and spray some WD40 down the two valve actuators which are directly under the two buttons on the cistern lid. One of them will have been sticking in the open position.

  • Just a quick update - it turns out the sealing washer on the outlet valve was worn, so i replaced it and its now fixed.
