Buying TV Programmes on iTunes?

Was looking at buying a set of TV programmes on iTunes, but have never done this before.
Singularly they're selling for £1.49 & there's 52 of them, but under the picture on the left, it says £4.99 buy. Surely this can't be for all 52 - why would you pay £1.49 when for a little extra you can have all 52 (if that's the case)?
Next one is how do you view them? Only through iTunes or can you transfer out of iTunes at all, onto say, DVD?
Final one is how long do they stay on your iTunes account for? Forever?

Which programme is it?!
It's possible someone has made a mistake in pricing (in the favour of those buying it).
I think they'd stay "yours" forever (or until Apple goes bust, whichever is sooner!). Bear in mind that 52 TV programmes would take a fair bit of download bandwidth - certainly more than my allowance for a month - although there might be a way to download them bit-by-bit rather than all at once. Likewise you'd need a lot of disk space to hold them.
Not sure how you'd transfer them off, I'm afraid.0 -

From here:How does purchased video differ from other video?
Videos purchased from the iTunes Store have FairPlay digital rights management embedded in the files and are in a format that can be readily synced to a video-capable mobile device. Just like with music you purchase from the iTunes Store, you own the videos you purchase. You can authorize up to five computers to play purchased videos, and you can sync the video to as many mobile devices as you like. A single device can contain purchased content from up to five accounts; iTunes will not allow you to add data from a sixth account. Can I burn iTunes Store Videos to DVD?
You can save your iTunes Store movies to data DVDs for backup purposes (if you have a supported DVD burner), but these DVDs will not play in a DVD player.0 -
For the record - the TV show is Hollyoaks. I only got into it the middle of last year & found that you can buy it seemingly quite cheap, unless i've misunderstood the pricing. Was after a bit of background to where i started watching.0

This says "This Multi-Pass includes the most recent episode and the next 9 new episodes of Hollyoaks Omnibus 2012". As there presumably won't be any more new episodes for 2012, I'm guessing (afraid I don't know  ) that it won't be the preceding 52; and you may only get 1 episode.
Edit: Although I see for 2011 it just says "Buy" without the multi-pass complexity, so maybe that's different?0 -
The price difference is handy if you're only after a couple of episodes. Like if you want one episode because an actor you really like is in it, why buy the whole series?'til the end of the line0
