Travel Insurance - What is Essential Cover?

Hi All,

Just wondered what you would recommend as essential cover for travel insurance? I have been looking around and found some really cheap quotes, but want to make sure we are getting covered everything we need. (It is 2 adults, going to Turkey, no extreme sports or anything!)

Repatriation is getting you back if it all hits the fan...usually for medical reasons.

Just work out what you really need, if you aren't taking €50,000, a Cartier Watch and a Louis Vuitton bag with you, then you don't need to insure them.

I personally go for excellent medical cover and cancellation cover, without exclusions.

at least £2million medical, more is neither here nor there, baggage cover that's appropriate for what you are taking with you, cancellation cover appropriate to the cost of the holiday, and check youre not being stuffed on excess...
