Can anyone help please
kobo app downloaded onto nexus 7, book was added to library via whsmith site but does show in the kobo library.

Do you mean it does not show?
If that's the problem you can try refresh or import functions, by tapping on the top right hand corner.
If everything else fails, if you use calibre you can download the calibre companion app and synch your tablet with your calibre lib (all of your ebooks, kindle, kobo, pdf etc)0
