Very/NDRmoney account

Hi,
Apologies first if this is in the wrong place/has been asked before,

I have a very account which was passed to their ndr collections department
I have missed the last two payments and before that some monthly payments were either on time/late, due to that I have now received a default notice letter stating they want the arrears in full before 28th Jan or if not paid after the 28th Jan the whole balance must be paid in full and if I cannot do this I should contact a solicitor

Today I called them to discuss but they told me they are selling my account so they will not discuss a payment arrangement they only want full payment

I'm not sure what to do, either wait until they've sold my account and go from there or try to pay something ?

Thanks in advance for any help

If you don't pay the arrears thin full then likely that they'll pass on the account to a debt collection agency....paying only part of it probably won't cut it with them....
  • Presumably they issued a default?
    How old is the account?
NDR sold mine on to Capquest. Much easier to deal with than those idiots at NDR

I say let them sell it on.

You will be able to negotiate a resonable repayment plan with the next DCA.
  • Thanks so much for your replies, we're going to go with them selling it on rather than have a major struggle trying to get together the money that they want us to pay now.

Do you think I should still make payments to ndr in the meantime or just wait until whoever they sell it to contacts us ?

    Thanks again :)

Until they sell the debt on or tell you otherwise, you should continue to make payments as usual.
  • Have they defaulted you?

I wouldn't pay NDR. Let them sell it on

  • Yes they have issued a default
  • Hi everyone, thanks for your replies when I originally posted my question, since then we logged into our very account to make a payment but it showed the account as £0 balance, we haven't received any further letters or phone calls from very, I assume they've sold it on as they said they would but nobody has contacted us, this was at the end of January, has this happened to anyone else ? I'd be grateful of any advice, we don't know whether we should be worrying or not !

    Hi,

Mine took 2-3 months after NDR sold it on. At that point I got a letter from Capquest.

Just sit tight, whoever bought it will no doubt write to you.

    Thanks
