Where does everybody else buy their potatoes from?
I used to buy them from the farm shops in big sacks but their supplies dwindled alot with the bad crops. The prices in the supermarkets are shocking...as is the quality!

I predict people going back to growing their own spuds it's surprisingly easy and space efficiant.0

Usually Farmfoods for us - around £1.15 for 2kgs, which does us for a week."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I bought Tesco organic white potatoes last week and they were awful, had to cut lots of bits out and they boiled away to mush.0

I begrudge the exorbitant price but I am still buying Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Vivaldi potatoes (both new potatoes and mashers/baking potatoes) I hate cheap potatoes with all the black bits and the way they boil away in the water. There is so much waste with cheap potatoes I think it's false economy buying them in the first place."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. I used to get a huge sack of spuds from the milkman. Delivered whenever I needed them, along with my milk.
Cheap as chips and farm fresh, good quality potatoes.
'Course changes in society meant that the milkman went kaput, Tesco moved in and they now supply the milk and spuds. At a higher cost.

I bought some Greenvale farm ones from tesco when they were on offer and they were lovely all rounders, but they're too expensive now they've put the price up and are not on offer. (£2.39 for 2kg)
I think Aldi are selling roosters for £2.15 for 2kg, but that's still a big more than I'd like.
I've had mixed experience with cheap potatoes. I haven't tried farmfoods yet though!0 -

I normally buy a sack of 'washed whites' from our local farm shop for around £7, today they had sold out, and the next best buy was Wilja @£10.95 !!!! Have yet to peel any, so not sure about the quality....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Potatoes have gone up a lot in price, even Icelands potatoes which used to be £1/£1.25 for 2.5kg have gone up to £1.75 and their potatoes are truly awful! Would love to grow my own potatoes but we're in a flat.
