Does anyone know what sort of construction these houses are

There is a big estate near me where many of the houses are non-standard construction.

I know many of the houses are BISF houses and are morgageable because they are not on the condemmed list.

But there are some houses on the estate that look like this

Does anyone know are these BISF as well or another sort of construction.

Thanks for all your help :T

    Hi ClareyFairey

I do not know the answer...but the roof looks like...perhaps British Steel Colourclad or similar. It may be a modern re-roof by Redland or similar.

What ever it is this would make me very wary about any involvement.
  • It isn't one I recognise, if you're really lucky some local library might have the BRE Non Traditional Houses book.

Have you asked Building Control at your local council? They should know what they have in their area.
    IANAL etc.

That may be a Howard House, I saw a photo of one once and I remember it had the same stepped-back centre to the front elevation and shallow roof pitch. I would not be certain of it though.

It's definitely not a BISF house unless it's one that has been very heavily remodeled.
