I never call o2 as it can be expensive. I email them from the o2 website and they are good at responding and its FREE!

I emailled o2 this morning to find out how much longer I have to run on my free text Long Weekend offer so I know when I can sign up for the Number One promotion and I got this reply...

If you want to start benefiting from the Number One promotion sooner, please reply to this email and I'll be happy to remove the O2 Long Weekends promotion and add the Number One promotion to your account immediately.
Please also give me the one O2 chosen number and I'll register this on your
    account.
Please click on the link below for more information on the Number One promotion:

They told me when it was to run out and how many texts I had to use by this date. They could not have been more helpful and a reply within 3 hours!

    Hope this helps someone!

  • Hi

    Can I get this offer:

500 free minutes to UK landlines and o2 mobiles
top-up £10 or more in the month and text your chosen postcode to 22204
free to start receiving your free allowance.

I already get the Text Anytime 300UK texts and 1MB of data if I top up £10 per month already. Can I get the other one as well, or does that counteract this offer?

    I'm a bit confused!!

Answer is yes. Sign up and then do the BALANCE text so that you can reassure yourself that the 300 texts is still up and running.

You can eother have the o2 Online(aka genie) free monthly texts with 1Mb of gprs/i-mode or the favourite places tafiff but not both, from what i have been told if you go on fave places you don't get the 1mb of gprs allowance so then you may be better adding one of the browse & download bolt-ons.

I believe thoug that you can iether have free texts or free calls depending on monthly spend on the online tariff without switching to fave places but like the free texts the free calls this way is dependant on howmuch you topup byand am unsure if that is just eve/weekends or all day too, check the o2 website!

You can't have both, they are both tariffs, and you can only have one tariff at a time. You can however have one of these tariffs with the number one promotion (where you pick one o2 mobile number and get 500 free calls to that number).

It's a good idea to decide which is more useful to you, the texts or calls. You can always pick the calls and buy a text bolt on so the texts work out cheaper.

I have the standard 300 texts and 1MB data and chose the "One" as the postcode deal doesnt seem great unless you are home a lot.
