  • Afternoon everyone one. Still not found a copy of the March Marie Claire mag with samples on it, found the large mag in loads of shops but nothing with it!! Shame really I'm making up a hamper for my sisters birthday and thought they would be a great little treat. Maybe it's not nationwide.

I was "trouted" as you put it with my apg of £3:80 for my mullers, sales assistant didn't believe it was correct on a £4 spend and called for supervisor who read every detail on the receipt and then mumbled "it must be right, don't know how though!! " we know don't we:)

Dh keeps threatening to cancel my phone contract cos I'm always reading this thread, like I told him if it saves us pennies then it's worth every second thanks everyone. :T

On the subject of sayings my Grandad bless him always said "eee thar a warm en.." in his broad Yorkshire accent, Meaning a cheeky monkey.
Hoping for some sunshine next week as Dd off school for 1/2 term..

Right guys, the receipt shows 3 cereals bought
    barcodes
    000002767857L £1.68
    505244977012L £1.58
    000002114859L £1.58 (choc squares)

Its the middle one! the APG tells me the second one is choco snaps, although the receipt just says cereal, but i have checked with msm and choc snaps are £1.68.
just checked on msm and there is only 2 others for that price in the offer which are honey hoops and golden balls.
I had a look at the barcodes on these two today, but they don't match.

    The Golden Balls are S 21148620 B.
    Honey Hoops are S 21091131 B.

We don't have 4G yet. Tyneside to the north, Leeds area to the south and Darlinton to the West are the closest at the moment. Don't know why a small place like Darlo has it before the large Teesside conurbation in our area.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I didnt know we had it but I can see why.

    Afternoon all

Have managed a little rest and a catch up this afternoon thanks to some lovely friends :A

Had a delivery of my own special 'meals on wheels' yesterday :D
Seems like many of my colleagues have put their heads together because they wanted to help out and know I've been struggling a bit with being so tired and looking after the boys. 4 of them had each cooked a meal to go in the freezer (thank goodness I've been using up my freezer stash a bit over the past few weeks :rotfl:) so I've been able to relax during afternoon nap time without worrying about cooking an evening meal.

To top it all, I posted a general thank you message on FB only for several more to reply that their contributions will be delivered next week! Will save me so much time and energy :) Don't think i'll be needing to do a 'big shop' either :D
♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥

Glad to hear you are managing to get a rest. The meals is a great thing for your friends / work colleagues to be doing. I remember when we had our sons our church organised a rota and people cooked meals for us for the first 2 weeks that we were home. It was a real life saver.
