My ds has just been offered his place at uni for sept and i want to start buying him things he may need to take but i have no clue what he will need.

Priority is a sandwich toaster;)Then duvet, duvet covers, a clothes airer (Saves them paying for the tumble dryer), towels, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, kettle, toaster, cushions. Most important as well is a doorstep(They wedge the door open on the first day and everyone pops their head in to say hello and they make loads of new friends like that;))Loads more bits and pieces that I'll think of in a minute;)And start stocking up on Glitchy fabric conditioner an washing powder when it comes up too.
Wheres he off to? It's such an exciting time for them:T
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

My son had a small "George Forman " grill so could use it for toasted sandwiches and to cook meat!

They do, as they have a shared kitchen and they'll need their own stuff as it usually is just a basic kitchen with nothing in.My DS's Uni has banned frying pans and woks though:rotfl::rotfl:But I know they have them and hide them in their wardrobes..LOL.And if you see cheap bits like rugs and things that will make their room a bit more homely:)You're doing it the right way, I started buying DS's stuff on glitches about a year before;)

  • Evening all :hello:

Seeing the lovely pic of Oswald has just reminded me that I haven't seen Magicowen and Percy postingfor a while, perhaps one for the missing in action list.

Not much doing over my way. Completely skint at the moment after everything that went on last month, so it's living out the freezer and generally avoiding A's and T's, which is easier said than done! ;) I've got a couple of Porkies and an APG to use though, so it's just a case of being extra extra savvy this month, I'm sure I can manage that though ;)
