Evening everyone:)Big hugs first to Tiny and Logie.
Alfies been sleeping a lot on and off today:Tand has started drinking about an hour ago so really pleased. Hes still wobbly and so reminds me of a baby. He will only go to sleep when someone lays with him and has a hand touching him, the minute you take your hand away he wakes up:rotfl: So I've spent a lot of today on the front room floor..LOL
He couldnt put his head down last night because I think his stitches were pulling so we put a pillow under his head and kept him warm with a blanket. Couldnt resist a piccie and he stayed in this position all night:)

Sitting with one eye on England v Brazil, England stand a good chance of scoring as Julio Cesar new QPR goalkeeper will punch the ball out to the opposition instead of holding on to it :(

My poor little friend Alfie, looking forward to seeing him in a few weeks time when he's well enough to greet me at the door with one of his toys & then sit on my foot
  • I have 3 which are illegal and a spare which is borderline.......going to go for 3 new tyres £180 all in. They are okish tyres but only plan on keeping the car for another year. I do very low mileage.......sada and back or tosco and back:D

    Good idea tho:T

Kills me to spend real money!!!

Also remember that driving on illegal tyres is liabhle to the following:
    Penalties

If you drive a vehicle fitted with an illegal or defective tyre on a road, a police officer may give you a Fixed Penalty Notice or, in Scotland, a Conditional Offer Notice.
A police officer has discretion not to issue a fixed penalty but to report the case for prosecution. In law, the driver and the owner (if different) are liable and one or both may be summonsed.

The maximum fine which a court can impose for using a vehicle with a defective tyre is £2,500 and three penalty points (£5,000 in the case of a goods vehicle or a vehicle constructed or adapted to carry more than eight passengers).

Also your Insurance can be rendered invalid:

If you drive with damaged or worn tyres you risk being fined. You risk invalidating your car insurance policy and endangering lives too.

Excerpts taken from AA web site.

I know it's not always possible to replace due to other expenses, but it is much more expensive to be taken to court and fined, or inded to have an accident that is avoidable and not have your insurance claim paid:)
