    :eek::eek::eek:

    Have been lurking for a few days, had a lil break from the thread as RL a bit hard atm and when I return the meanies are out :(

    Anyway, was sticking to lurkdom but was browsing The Body Shop page on FB and just read at L'oreal own TBS but more importantly, L'oreal test on animals!! Double-whammy for me there and I know there are many TBS fans on here who should know!! OMG :eek::eek::eek: Not sure what to make of the monthly L'oreal coupons now and OMG TBS are commenting that their values have not changed but... what? Sorry that turned into a bit of a rant but if you're interested, have a read of the comments on their page!

    Back to lurkdom I go.. x

    If you wear make up, take any kind of medicine, use shampoo, use body lotions etc you can pretty much guarantee that somewhere along the way animal testing went on with that product (or something that it contains).
    I have been veggie for 30 years (no meat, fish, make up, leather goods etc) but it is hard to be completely animal friendly in modern society.

    It is annoying when a trusted brand like BS get taken over by a known animal tester. If it bothers you enough then you have to stop buying their products unfortunately.

    No, it's been amazing I have saved so much with the help of everyone on here. I now think shops like wilkinsons are expensive compared to what we pay for glitches lol. I've just started to realise that when something is glitching I should stock right up for me, mum and dd and this will hopefully last us until next glitch. I hate paying full price now if I run out of something x
    Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

    No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

    Another random comment, which may not fit in with any of the discussion/banter around it, as I'm posting this while updating my Avs M list:

    S'price Chicken Portions (Frozen) 1kg - £1.75 in A (filler vs T, S or W)

    That's awesome, I've just been sitting here pondering whether or not I should go out again as I promised Mullers to friends and family but I can leave it until tomorrow now :j

    Do be cautious as last time I did a A v M shop on a Wednesday it didn't compare. I'm leaving it until Thursday.
  • Thank you,
    £180 is less then my excess, so is begrudgingly more acceptable:o
    But I will ask him to go to our garage. Fortunately DH's uncle is a mechanic:D
    I think I will definately wait for him to contact me though, last year someone pulled out straight in front of me and I hit him:eek: (I am really not that bad a driver:eek::eek:) To this day, that guy has never reported to his insurance company and my insurance company wont chase him unless I pay the £200 excess upfront, which I don't want to do:mad::mad:
    Be careful though, early last year my dh got bumped by someone and there was no damage so my partner said just to leave it as nothing to claim, while they were talking my dh mate took photos of both cars where they bumped, 3 weeks later my dh got a call from his insurance company saying the other guy had claimed that my dh had hit him and was claiming whiplash, and damage to his car, luckily his mate took photos as they wouldn't pay out for the car as we had proof there was no damage but they still payed him for the whiplash as they said it would cost more to fight it:mad:
