Caught up now and time to say a proper good evening:)

Spent a lot of the day looking online at phone deals for my two Orange contracts ending in 5-6 weeks. Orange weren't offering much as a retention so I might switch to O2. What are they like these days?

We were always with O2 but switched to Orange for a good deal (via e2save) 2years ago. First thing I noticed with Orange in my area was that reception was nowhere near as good as with O2. Retention guy said that Orange were addressing reception problems but if I went to O2 I'd find it was much slower for web access...but then he would..unless anyone has a direct comparison to support this?
    Awaiting a new sig
  • :( keep checking! I had a receipt with chewing gum on:eek: (note: i still picked it up:o:o) produced £5.67 :eek::beer:
all you need is the numbers now;) so I just ripped off the bottom numbers of the receipt and threw the rest in the closest bin.

Kicking myself I didn't go wombling yesterday - just went to small A$da, for more Mullers, and never any pickings there.
Have a great time on your next date ;)

Night all - doing the sch run for dd tomorrow so off to bed soon.

I've been round the houses with this too. Got told today that promo points only get added at the end of the collection period. Told them that it meant it was too easy for them to forget by that time and could they not add the points now. Worth a try but answer was no but apparently they've noted this on my account and I'll get a call in 2 months to let me know if they've been added. So that's 24 hours, 48 hours and now 2 months that various people have told me it'll take. I know they're not going to go on and they're hoping I'll forget.

Apart from the jammy sod who got them added in store, has anyone else got these added and how please?

I've had the same as you....they will be added before next mailing. But I have it in an email, so I will be getting back to them before then. I couldn't do click and collect as my local store doesn't do it. The person who got them added instore did it when clicking and collecting

Here we have orange and O2 on iphone 4s's. Same decent speed for web access, same call quality - we all loose call reception in cold spots around the house.

Has anyone else in Manchester just witnessed the Thundersnow? Apparently it's quite a rare phenomenon, but fantastic to watch

Im not in Manchester, but not too far away. We had an amazing hail storm earlier. It has smashed the glass in one if the coach lights in the front porch:eek:
  • Oh got a £1 from a trolley today. someone had taken it back to trolley park but not bothered to get their money back. Some people!

    Hey all,

Boys both in bed and OH doing the shopping list so I've got a few minutes again :)

So I had scan last Monday and they said results would determine what chemo I had on Wednesday (they talked about reducing dosages if good response to treatment)

Turned up for treatment and they were just going to start as usual until I asked. OH had to just drop me off as working so I was on my own. The nurse went off to bleep specialist haematology nurse then came back and said 'she's on her way to speak to you but we're to carry on as planned'. I was like  thinking that meant the treatment hadn't worked.

When she arrived she said that tumour has shrunk 'a bit' but that the cancer activity within the tumour has reduced significantly. I'm not entirely sure what it means to be honest and will have a lot of questions for the consultant later in the month. I'm guessing though that it's becoming more benign. So they've decided to keep at the high dose chemo but just for 6 cycles instead of 8. I might need some radiotherapy afterwards to target the lump if it's still there but we'll cross that bridge nearer the time.

Have found this last cycle much tougher and I know they get worse so am really relieved that the chemo will be ending sooner than originally planned. Will have completed half of the IV chemo treatments by Wednesday :T

Boys have been as good as gold today which has meant I could get a little rest. Then a friend turned up unexpectedly with a meal for me just to stick in the oven this evening, perfect timing :A

Got a pedometer from the Ts mag competition, thanks to the OP. Can't wait to be able to do a bit more exercise. Weighed myself this week and am the same as when I was 9 months pregnant :( The 16 steroid tablets a day can't be helping.

Also got CC statement today, complete with 800 extra points from BzzAgent :j

Oh, and about babies taking milk at different temperatures; we really struggled when I started the chemo as I obviously had to give up breastfeeding as it would go through the milk. DS hated the formula and didn't gain weight at all for a month as he'd hardly take any. He will take it fairly hot after it's first made but then won't have it lukewarm and will refuse it until it's cooled right down, fussy monkey :p Least he'll drink it without a screaming fit now though :D

Sorry, just realised what an essay I've written :o

Great to hear your positive news - hope the rest of the chemo does the job :)

Think DS1 has an ear infection :( Poor little boy said his ear hurt just before bed and only wanted Daddy to read 1 story - he normally has 3! He's just woken up crying and I feel so sorry for him.

Unfortunately DS1 won't take medicine. We normally manage to put it into a little yoghurt drink for him but he is too sleepy to drink it. Think we might be off to the doctors in the morning. Got to go he's crying again :(

Ahh hope the pain has eased and you have a peaceful night and a good sleep
