Hey all,
Boys both in bed and OH doing the shopping list so I've got a few minutes again
So I had scan last Monday and they said results would determine what chemo I had on Wednesday (they talked about reducing dosages if good response to treatment)
Turned up for treatment and they were just going to start as usual until I asked. OH had to just drop me off as working so I was on my own. The nurse went off to bleep specialist haematology nurse then came back and said 'she's on her way to speak to you but we're to carry on as planned'. I was like  thinking that meant the treatment hadn't worked.
When she arrived she said that tumour has shrunk 'a bit' but that the cancer activity within the tumour has reduced significantly. I'm not entirely sure what it means to be honest and will have a lot of questions for the consultant later in the month. I'm guessing though that it's becoming more benign. So they've decided to keep at the high dose chemo but just for 6 cycles instead of 8. I might need some radiotherapy afterwards to target the lump if it's still there but we'll cross that bridge nearer the time.
Have found this last cycle much tougher and I know they get worse so am really relieved that the chemo will be ending sooner than originally planned. Will have completed half of the IV chemo treatments by Wednesday :T
Boys have been as good as gold today which has meant I could get a little rest. Then a friend turned up unexpectedly with a meal for me just to stick in the oven this evening, perfect timing :A
Got a pedometer from the Ts mag competition, thanks to the OP. Can't wait to be able to do a bit more exercise. Weighed myself this week and am the same as when I was 9 months pregnantThe 16 steroid tablets a day can't be helping.
Also got CC statement today, complete with 800 extra points from BzzAgent :j
Oh, and about babies taking milk at different temperatures; we really struggled when I started the chemo as I obviously had to give up breastfeeding as it would go through the milk. DS hated the formula and didn't gain weight at all for a month as he'd hardly take any. He will take it fairly hot after it's first made but then won't have it lukewarm and will refuse it until it's cooled right down, fussy monkeyLeast he'll drink it without a screaming fit now though
Sorry, just realised what an essay I've written
Just want to say 'You are amazing' best of wishes to you :T:T0 -

I love doing this OH, thinks I am mad and make a big deal about eatin them. I do it with all chocolate, like bounty, kitkat anything really.I dont believe it we have had an inch of snow fallen in last hour  and its still snowing
Looks like EMU's are back in storage and snow boots back outThink DS1 has an ear infectionPoor little boy said his ear hurt just before bed and only wanted Daddy to read 1 story - he normally has 3! He's just woken up crying and I feel so sorry for him.
Unfortunately DS1 won't take medicine. We normally manage to put it into a little yoghurt drink for him but he is too sleepy to drink it. Think we might be off to the doctors in the morning. Got to go he's crying again
((hugs)) to your little one, earache is horrible.
((hugs))) to logie, thinking of you.0 -

Just having a look at the back copy of the sada mag, I've run out of hard copies of the Alpen MOC from the mag, I know I can print some off from the weetabix site with the code, but was wondering if anyone had used printed MOCs from sada's mag and used successfully in store. TIA
Yes copied into paint and printed a couple, 2 honest, accepted yesterdayThe person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -

Good evening,
A little off topic, some time ago when some smartie's were glitch someone made something with them for a son/daughters 18th birthday.
I would love to see the pics again as my daughter is 18 in a few months and would love to try this as she loves smarties. Any ideas?
Hope someone can remember, it was sometime last year i think tia x0 -
