    Re Sky:
just before christmas my Sky was playing up and they offered me a new box for free (HD) as long a I had HD for a year at an extra £1 per month.
The box came by post and once fitted didn't solve the problem
I rang and wa s told that once a new piece of equipment had been provided the whole system was gauranteed for a year so they sent an engineer for free.
He went through the system, put in another box, changed the connectors and still it was not right.
He went up on his ladder and fitted new connectors and a new LNB which solved the problem....even threw in another remote from the new box......total cost 00p.
He said it is stop them doing "private" work but I am a happy bunny.

Does anyone know if you have to actually have to watch the blinkbox movies before you get the 1000 cc points.
Might seem a silly question but my broadband is so slow that it will take forever.

Not sure if anyone replied or not?

Some have been given their points last week. I haven't yet had an email to say I've got points. It may be, that they had over 10,000 subscribers or whatever number of accounts they were aiming to generate. If they could let those know, who've been awarded points, they could equally let those who haven't got extra points.

I watched my 2 films, simply because I'd paid for them, so was going to watch them! Both I opted to watch streaming, bad move, ended up being buffered lots :( You can opt, to download the film, and then watch. However, remember once a film is "activated" you only have 48 hours in which to watch it. The site was also requiring the installation of more software, to be able to download and then view, the film. That was what put me off downloading.

And I must admit, Defiance, covered an area of history that I'd not been aware of before. Very, very interesting film. For those who may be interested, and aren't going to watch the film, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bielski_partisans

My DS has one at sheffield a week on thursday & he has to be there by 9. Luckily its not too far from us. He has gone to liverpool, lincoln & newcastle already for open days.

fingers crossed he gets into sheffield.

Good luck o your DD, hope she gets where she wants :)

I hope your son gets the one he wants too What is he studying?

My daughter keeps worrying that none of them will want her as she hasn't got such a large portfolio as some of the others in her class, but the work she has done is good.
She's been in hospital a couple of times this year as she's had a lot of problems with recurring ear infections.
