Thanks Big Dave, nice to have you along for the ride.:p:p

The good thing about being a Jock, 'specially a dumpy one, is that every time of day can be 'drinkie o'clock'..

    In a good mood - 'drinkie o'clock'
    In a bad mood - 'drinkie o'clock'
Fed up with the kids - 'drinkie o'clock'
Peeved of at work - 'drinkie o'clock'
    Lonely - 'drinkie o'clock'
Having fun in great company - 'drinkie o'clock'

Do you see where I'm going with this??;);)

Its a very:( time for me just now as im drinking my last bottle of Bavaria.

Got Alfie home now:)Not the best news though:(He has a tumour in his spleen and they won't know if it's malignant till they take his spleen out. On the plus side they have scanned him everywhere and their is no sign on anything nasty anywhere else so whatever it is hasnt spread:) It's been bleeding internally which is why he's anaemic :(so on Tuesday hes having his spleen out and his bad tooth in the same op:eek:He's not to play about or run or anything in case he makes it bleed again and burst:(In the vets words "If its malignant and we take it out you have saved Alfies life"
Off now to give him a few cuddles as he's feeling very sorry for himself now with his shaved side;)

So sorry to here about Alfie. Hope the op goes well & the tumor is benign.
My Aunt had a benign tumor removed from her brain last week & is doing well. Thinking of you as I know how I'd feel if it was my dog.

    Hey all,
Huge hugs to all of those that need them (I know there's quite a few at the moment)
Not been about for a while as been out of sorts (did post a few days back but was having a really bad day and probably slipped under the radar so took a few days out to try and pick myself back up)
Seen a few people are feeling the same as me at the moment, lack of anything good seems to have made us lose our mojo, we need a serious pick me up and soon!!
I've been seriously down for the last week, really hating it at the moment :( car has cost us £700 these last 2 days just to keep it on the road, found out yesterday there's a small possibility of being made redundant sometime in the future (I'm currently on maternity leave from work) and everything just seems to be getting me down (sorry for the moan)
Anyway, thanx QoC for the nice new thread, here's hoping it's fruitful!! I think a lot of us need a good pick me up!
On the plus side, I went wombling for the first time yesterday - it's taken me this long to pluck up the courage to do it (found 2 but not heard anything back from PP yet) so I took my teenage Son wombling for the first time tonight, he has eyes like a hawk :D it was so funny as he's learnt so quickly and he was cursing that we didn't find any (I promised to go halves with him on anything we get)
I hope I'm still welcome here, I could really do with friends right now to keep me going. I'm sorry if I sound so negative, just hating not having many people I can talk too :(

Oh poor you, this place is a good tonic for many even when I don't post I do read and laughing out loud at some of the posts makes me feel a bit better, talking and sharing does help when things aren't quite the way we want them:) there are lots of friends on here:)

dipdap don't apologise :). There is nearly always someone on here so don't be afraid to talk. Lots of people feeling down at the minute :(.
Have a hug from me and stick around :)

Hope this helps a little bit :A

Awwww thanx, yes it does :) hugs all round
It's nice to be in such good company (I know sometimes this thread moves so fast it's easy to get lost in the crowd, I just don't want to be posting all the time moaning when I see lots of posters are having a worse time than I am) I see lots of people need big squishy hugs right now to cheer them up and I wish I could gather everyone up for a big smooshy hug to make them all smile.
I think I'm gonna go grab a nice warm cuppa and snuggle up in bed with my M&S socks and a kit kat chunky and start all over on here again tomorrow :)
