Thinking of you and your Mum Tinyshoes xx♥ Worrying does not empty tomorrow of it's troubles.... it empties today of it's strength ♥0

Evening everyone,
Just popping in for a spot of catching up.
Things not looking too good for my mum, now has UTI and chest infection. Not sure if she will be strong enough to fight both of these at the same time. Antibiotics started. They are stopping one of the new meds, can't remember the name but was to help her sleep at night but she is so sleepy now anyway, it is maybe one med too many. Think reality is she may not come out of the hospice although it is still early days for the methadone.
Thanks for everyones kind thoughts.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to all those that need them too, not completely caught up but especially to Floflo for her MIL and Nikki for Alfie. :A
Tinyshoes, thinking of you, sorry to read this xxx"We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough
"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women" - Madeleine Albright0 -
Sorry to hear about your mum Tinyshoes. I'm sure she's in the best possible place and they are doing all they can for her.
I get where your husbands coming from. I find it far easier consolling or hugging friends and neighbours than I do my own family. we've never been "kissers" but it doesn't mean we don't care. I never tell my mum and she never tells me I love you, but we both know we do!!
Agree completely and it is also a male way of dealing with a bad lot I think. My OH always says that a problem shared is a problem doubled now women simply don't think that way:Dnever stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -
Helloooo!
Thanks fir your wishes. My name on here has nothing to do with my real name. Ut was the village i lived in when in dorset so am leaving it as it is. Changed on facebook though! Thought of you when we were on our way to airport. The services were full of girls in trampolining trackies! Wondered if you were lurking somewhere!!!
Hope you are well x
I'm fine thanks Wool, DD2 has bad back, bad posture while studying not helped with that so has not really jumped since last year and for some reason DD3 did not feel ready for first comp of the season. They would have all been coming back from Hatfield, first national comp this year.0 -
Tinyshoes and Hopepary so sorry to hear both of your mums are not so good:(
I hope you are both managing to look after yourselves as well. Its so draining looking after someone else who is so ill, and easy to forget about your own well being. Hugs to you both :A0 -

Thanks purdita, never used to kiss or hug my mum that much but lately she is getting lots to make up for all the ones she has missed.
The staff are the loveliest people you could meet so much more caring than at the main hospital, they take so much time to listen to you as well, it does feel like an extension of home in some sort of way.0 -
