Ok guys - Bit of a long shot this one but would anybody like to make use of two nights in a hotel in Edinburgh - 30th & 31st January? Booked it for OH and me but he feels really grotty after dental work - poor thing so hence the short notice.

Its only the accomodation - no meals included but would rather give it away than waste it - esp as it was purchased through a deal on mse lol

You know I'm only joking:D By the way(Bananaman;)) I notice that you've cottoned on to DMs trick of altering the OPs post to say what you prefer it to say:rotfl:

I think I'm spending too much time in your company as I seem to have spent some time today and yesterday perusing bin liners(posh ones) in various stores for the best value:o. There was also a mountain of bananas left after whoopsies last night and I thought to myself David. would be in his element here:rotfl::rotfl:

artha, are you suggesting that he is a cheeky monkey?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for all your help, I had to go out and pick DD1 up from school at 3pm.

Seeing your name reminded me to thank you again for posting about Dunelm (Portrack). Went down at about 1pm and there was still loads left. I don't think people realised that the christmas stuff was going through at 10p/49p/99p. Some of the stuff I took to the till went through at the marked prices i.e. only 50% off (e.g. reed diffusers, candles and pot pourri). Asked the SA to check and a supervisor said that it should all be marked down and to manually overide the till prices:T.

Hope DW will be happy when she comes in from work tonight but no doubt I'll just get it in the neck for not getting on with the list of jobs I keep promising to get on with:( Some people are never happy:rotfl::rotfl:

    Glad to help. :)

look out for this in a sada near you

I bought some juice on offer at £1 (2 different flavours) but the SA scanned one of the bottles twice! went to CS for a refund + £2 GC. Trout says "we don't give out the £2 GC anymore. I haven't given one out for over a year" "Oh really" I replied "that's funny 'cos I have had quite a few recently" Trout replies "well they shouldn't be giving them out. But I will give you one on this occasion" I told her I am going to contact CS as I am sure their policy has not changed. Trout said she would do the same! pmsl :rotfl: got 5 wombles today :) 2 have produced nothing (one for 24p, but not worth the ink!) and the other 3 can't be checked yet. I am hopeful about one of them as it has nappies on it. Fabulous fingers crossed :)

Oh my lord, this so resembles the Trout in the Tesco Metro the other day that told me they no longer do DTD on an overcharge (as she stood deliberately in front of the signage). I did offer to lend her my glasses to read the sign directly behind her :D

Getting a bit stressed waiting for the phone call from the vets :(so decided to go for a bit of retail therapy.Big thanks to Clipstrip for giving me the heads up on out local Dunelm:T:T:T Got loads of bits and pieces and the Xmas mats. All the stuff was still marked 1/2 price but going through the tills at the discount price.MrLala thought I'd lost the plot when I walked in with 4 Xmas doormats:rotfl::rotfl:until I told him they were 49p each.Wrapping paper & tags 10p and nice packs of 3 silver candles for 49p:)
Then went onto T's and got the 4p shoes:T:Tand then to Boots and got 25% off conditioner which worked at deducting 25% of the full price not the sale price;)Got loads already from last years APG glitch:o but I've taken a liking to the Dove one.
Just seen the possible Express glitch and MrLala does like a Mars Bar;)

    Try to stay calm.
Would you be tempted to have a Mars bar if you got some for Mr Lala? If the answer is yes or mayne, don't buy them! How is Mr Lala's no smoking going?
