Good Morning all. Big hugs to everyone who needs 'em.
Woke up with a stinking cold, thanks OH, so couldn't sleep. Guess I will be cream crackered about 10am with my GS running around like a demon.
Thanks again for all the tips for our trip to Amsterdam. Booked last night, flights with KLM from Birmingham at very nice times came up cheaper than the cheapy airlines. I decided that as it was a trip for my OH to be with his GD for her 3rd birthday we would stay in Haarlem where they live and get the train into Amsterdam. Then I found a lovely hotel got a bit carried away and booked the executive room!!! www.carlton.nl/square Not very MSE but did get 3 nights for the price of 2, also I think I will get my moneys worth of the free mini bar in the room, especially the decanters of whiskey and brandy :D
You'll love it! Only thing to be careful of is in restaurants keep your bag secure as we nearly had a bag stolen when some people at a nearby table asked for help understanding their menu (while their mate was edging our bag towards their table).

Take some cash or a range of cards. We found that lots of places only took one kind of credit card (either Mc or visa but rarely both). Don't know if that's changed.

    Enjoy thje trip!:)

I love the fact that I no longer need the receipt for Tesco PP now, I picked up 4 or 5 receipts that were really to dirty/wet to present but i could still read the bottom bit to get a PP on

Where have I been - missed this one. I know you can't tie anything back to the receipt like the old ones but didn't realise you don't need to attach the receipt at all?

    Good Morning :)
feels quite mild today for a change might not need to have heating on all day:THope the rain is not too bad as having the last 3 fence panels put up today, but more importantly do not want the poor people who have resently been flooded to suffer any more flooding particularly Bubbs.

Does anyone know if Home Bargains take mocs? I've got 2 x £1.50 off Finish Quantum any size, would work out at 5p per tablet....mind you I've still got about 9 boxes of the Tesco Express glitched ones to get through but I can't resist :o

    Morning all

Mildred, my local will not take mocs at all, no matter what or where they are from. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this.

Tweets good luck today with the new job.

Purdita good luck also, with the doggie problem, not something I would like to do myself.

Tinyshoes, glad your mums pain relief is being sorted out, I think once it has kicked in properly, she will be feeling her normal self. Like the way you say she is still cleaning her cabinet with a tissue, sound like a proud lady.
