Our neighbour has a small yapping dog which barks at the slightest noise but he is in and out all day so its not left on its own.
But in the summer he puts it out in the garden on its lead and the lead it attached to one of those spike things so its outside barking away, now that is annoying when you want to have a quiet half an hour in the garden.

Me too, I still talk to my Dad when no ones about:o

Afternoon everyone:)Just used my £7 off £50 tillsplit in T's. Onto the next CC now;) I usually let each card get to 500 points then move to the next one. That also means that when my CC vouchers come through they will always be at least £5 in points which is handy if I want to double them up because its a minimum of £5:T
Went into T's to have a massive scan of stuff because their is so much Xmas stuff floating about but the flipping scanner was broken:(
It's really mild here today but it was so windy and wet last night:eek:Lovely to finally see the sun out today:)Just going for a quick catchup now.

Are all your cards registered to one account or separate accounts please?
    Tia

I can't take her one Monday and Wednesday because I work with kids those days and no animals allowed for obvious reasons.
The other days I could take her but if I leave her in the car to even nip into the garage I come back and she's been sick all over the back seat because she's worked herself up so much trying top get to me.
I've tried to take her when doing the school run and she does the same when DS gets out of the car and I drive off, she thinks I'm leaving him and not going back. I've even took her back with me when picking him up so she knows he'll be picked up again and she goes crazy when she sees him and nearly sends him flying, that's with her IN the car. She tries to break out to make sure I pick him up again, thankfully she's harnessed in but she gets herself so twisted up that she howls to get let out because the legs are caught and she can't sit!

Hi SD, just in and out of here today so don't know if this has been suggested, when we moved house my old girl was getting herself in a tizz when left alone (our house move was the same week I lost my other dog so kira was very bewildered anyway) so I made a recording of myself talking to her, normal gibberish as I usually did, and left it playing took a couple of weeks but she did settle :)

did that to me a few times just page back and re-submit til it works

thanks, I keep trying to do that, but it still won't accept my code. Says it's been used already. Someone has probably pinched my code! I hate the way RSH give out the vouchers these days. I'm not going to bother with them in future!

Give this a try then - are you smarter than an 8 year old?

    http://news.sky.com/story/1042106/maths-skills-parents-fear-helping-children

    9/10 for me :)

10/10 but they aren't average questions for an 8 year old;) Good old media.:p

Just get a code for RSH put in in and pressed claim voucher the info disappeared out of the boxes but no discount showing above the boxes - does anyone know if it should appear straight away or if it takes time to show?

David. thanks for trying in MrA

I think it should appear straight away. That's how it usually works anyway.

I'm off out for a bit. It actually feels like spring today:cool:

Just a thought but if she is trying that hard to get to you what about recording your voice saying things to her/singing etc and leave a gap of a minute or two in between it and leave it playing on a cd in the other room and that way she may still think you are there.

I forget which room you leave them in but if you dont already, leave them in there while you are still in the house and it may break the association of we go in that room when you go out type of thing.

If only I had kept reading:o, anyway thats two of us have suggested it so hope SD tries it.:)

Spirallingdown, may I recommend a book, "The Dog Listener" by Jan Fennell. We read it some years ago and have found it invaluable. :)

bcw123, may I recommend a book, "How To Win Friends And Influence People" by Dale Carnegie.
    Hope is not a strategy.
