Accommodation Dublin, Cork and Galway - Cheap

Hi
I need a break, everythings going a bit wrong at the moment, my grandad has passed away, the funeral is looming and that's just the start of things!
My boyfriend thought he'd be nice and plan a trip to Ireland, got cheap flights through offer with RyanAir, going Liverpool - Dublin and flying back Cork - Liverpool.
The plan is arrive in Dublin 14th June, spend 2 nights in Dublin, then on to Galway and spend one night here, then on to Cork and spend 2 nights there. I'm not really into the swing of things at the moment and I need to find somewhere to stay that isn't a rip off, I am aware Ireland is expensive before anyone says its not the place to go to for a cheap holiday!!
We like the odd guiness, but we don't want to be unable to sleep and right in the middle of the party, we are both confident with public transport so as long as the hotel/b&b has good transport links thats ok.
PM me if anyone has any good suggestions or ways to get discount!
Thanks
Rachel
