I think you have to buy the whole keyboard as individual keys are not sold.
go onto ebay and check for keyboards that match yours and buy a second hand on. should be quite cheap.0 -
how old is the laptop?
I know dell will send a replacement keyboard out to you even if it is out of warrenty.
You have nothing to loose in contacting HP and telling them about your problem, they may0 -
As Millionaire as already mentioned, you need to buy a new keyboard as you can't buy a single key.
It may be worth looking on ebay for any broken laptops that are been sold for the spares or just connect an external keyboard to the laptop.0 -
Install a USB keyboard, just plug and play as a short term work around.0

Don't forget XP has an on-screen keyboard, where you can just point at a displayed letter and it will be typed for you. Not great, but it will work until you get a more permanent solution.0

The only problem with this if you get hold of a individual key is that the plastics that join the keys to the keyboard are very flimsy.
Ive tried putting in a few keys into keyboards and they break quite easily as its abit awkward to get in. In the end I got dell to drop by and fit me a new keyboard for free.
I suppose you could try it, but be careful as Ive broken about 4 of them trying to fit it in.0
