Had a quick rummage in the freezer as I would really like to get to the end of the month without a proper shop although I will need fruit.

    Fri. Chinese chicken and noodles
Sat. HM pizza, wedges and salad
Sun. Roast chicken, stuffing, veg and roasties
    Mon. Quiches and HM chips
Tues. toad in the hole, veg and roasties
Wed. Mac cheese, garlic bread and salad
Thurs . Spicy tortillas, wedges and salad
Fri sausage and mash with veg and gravy

In theory I should be able to do this without the need to go to the shops but may need a few extra veggies.

Have a good frugal week everyone and then will have finally got through January :j:j

Does anyone have any whole day menu plans? its easy to plan just main meals but I find it difficult to plan several whole days meals in a row.

Thanks, Hotcookie, for starting this week's thread. Here goes with what we'll be having this week:

    Sat - Lasagne
Sun - Steak & Ale Pie with Mash & Veggies
Mon - Leftover Pie & Chips
Tues - Sweet & Sour Chicken with Noodles
    Weds - TBC
Thurs - Sausages in Giant Yorkshire Puds with Gravy, Mash & Veg
    Fri - HM Baguette Pizzas

There's going to be some puds made while the oven is on and stuff to keep the biscuit tin full. Hoping it won't come to much on the shopping bill this week but if it does, it does. Take care, everyone. Love reading your mealplans :)

I'll post my mealplan here for my own reference, but with some embarrassment as it's heavily based on RM stuff this week: I'm meant to be working on an essay, and I'm taking high-dosage antibiotics that make me feel unwell, so I think I can just about justify it to myself. :o

Friday - chicken and ham en croute with cheese mash and veg
Saturday - takeaway pizza (with a voucher, of course!)
Sunday - moussaka (RM, from a supermarket meal-deal) with some sort of veg
Monday - sausage and lentil stew

Tuesday - broccoli cheese (also from the meal-deal) with HM bread
Wednesday - smoked mackerel rice (a sort of ultra-lazy kedgeree)
Thursday - mince beef pie (which has been lurking in the freezer for longer than I care to remember :o) with potato rosti (also from the freezer) and baked beans

Normal service will hopefully resume next week!
Back after a very long break!
