    Hi thanks yes i forgot i claim cares allowance for one child. I dont think my oh can claim to be a carer for our other child as he is on dla him self for care needs.

  • he can claim carers as long as the care he gives doesnt clash with his own disabilities
    as for the childrens money it needs to be in accounts that you can under NO circumstances have access to

    Really can he claim for her she has mental health isues, where as he has phsyical disablitys so he could claim for her then . Also how do i get an account for my 8 year old where i dont have access to it .my daughters acount i dont have access as she is 13, but they said because my son was only 7 at the time of opening the account they said i had to be on the acount to sign on his behalf .

    By claiming the second carers allowance you will gain an extra £32 weekly (Even if he does not get paid carers due to having another benefit of higher value) backdate it three months and its worth about £400 in arrears.
