Pension question

Im not sure if this question will even make sense but here goes!!
I generally get the same amount of wages every month but this month, I got about £125 less. The only thing that is different is that I have a deduction for £72.50 for pension.
Can anyone advise where the other money has disappeared to??
thanks

well without any facts it is somewhat difficult

    but your could start by

    1. telling us what taxcode you had on the two lastest payslip
    2. tell us why you suddenly have a pension deduction
    3. tell us gross earning, pension payment and tax deducted

Has your employer auto-enrolled you into a pension scheme, as obliged by law? http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=223

Or has the waiting period after starting work before joining the company pension scheme expired and you've now been enrolled into the scheme you signed up for when you started working?

Tax has gone up. PAYE 677.91 month 9 PAYE 735.16 month 10

NI has reduced NIA 366.69 month 9 NIA 354.14 month 10
  • what would be the reason for that?
  • Dd you get a pay rise since April? The current salary level is close to making you a higher rate taxpayer and, if you were on a lower salary early on in this tax year, higher rate tax could be being paid for the first time.

Or - when did you return from maternity leave and, if after April, did you have a lower salary as a result?
  • I did get a pay rise in November
