spare wheel
Where is the best place to buy a space saver wheel for my 2007 focus? I think it has 16" wheels, the number on them is 205 55 r16.
i think the previous owner has swapped the space saver for a full size, but it takes up loads of the boot. I would rather swap it for a space saver as we need the extra room when we go on holiday. I tend to get a puncture fixed/ tyre changed straight away anyway so the SS wont be much of a problem.
The dealer looked at me like i was insane when i said i would want to swap the wheel and said people usually want to swap the SS for a full size.

Does the full size one not fit in the wheel well?
Why not advertise on piston heads for a swap?0 -
yeah it sits in the well but because its much bigger than the SS thats supposed to be there it has poly blocks round it then the carpet over the top. By swapping it i reckon i will get at least another 4" depth of boot space, and my grans granny trolley will fit in much better when i take her out shopping.0

not sure i'd want a space saver by choice, OHs company car has a space saver. we had a puncture 250 mile from home late on a saturday so the only option was a repair / replace but the lease company use ATS so we were faced with a 6 hour plus trip home as stuck at 50mph and can only use for short durations. Eventually sorted but would have been much easier with a 'proper' spare.
space savers and cans of foam are of questionable use in my view0
