Budget and commute are both factors as I work in London. Alternatives would be good as am in the early stages of looking so will try a few areas before making a decision. Thanks :)

Then make a list of priorities ie

Do I want to walk to station, or live somewhere more rural.
Do you eat out often, what are restaurants like in area
What lifestyle family have. Where do older kids hang out, will they need lifts to get to social stuff
What shops do i use. If you are a waitrose person, no point moving to an area that only has coop local, etc. or for clothes/household, it's at least 15mins drive to big name shops (parking costs)
If I move 1, 2, etc stops down mainline, is the extra 15 mins commute, worth the increased travel costs, but bigger house for money

But biggest thing is to visit all places within a 10 mile radius of where you think your favoured location is. Personally though, I couldn't live in witham as I find it quite industrial and built-up and I would need to drive to the next town to buy anything other than food. I at least like to have a supermarket within 5 mins drive that has some household stuff and clothes, but that's me lol? I like countryside, but with the convenience of a city
  • Hi, I am looking at Ouse chase, Conrad road, Bure drive. Also please advise which are the better areas to buy a property in Witham. Any help will be much appreciated.
    Kind regards
