I get snide remarks as well especially from MIL, took her out for a meal the other weekend and when we went to a place I choose because I'd won a £40 voucher from she had a moan and didn't eat hardly anything because it wasn't her choice. (She won't get asked again, we were paying).
Work mates are always asking did you win it or buy it? I wish I could win everything but they are very happy to eat chocolates and share wins.
There's nothing so strange as folks, carry on winning and ENJOY giving

Hmmm, it's an odd one, isn't it? The way i see it i put HOURS into comping and so I feel like I've earned my winnings, they don't just fall out of the sky into my lap. My girlfriend did comment that if i give her a prize as a present then it 'doesn't count' but we had a little convo and we cleared that little one up. This year I've decided apart from on here I'm not telling anyone about any wins that I may be giving away. I'm always so pleased to win something that I don't want that pleasure marred by people's reactions.

One thing I do that the family has come to love and enjoy - I cook Christmas Dinner every year and for the last 2 years 'Comping Santa' has left everyone at least one present on their plate at the Christmas table. Some may be ok - make up etc - some may be random - but it starts Christmas Dinner off with a bit of a laugh. this year I gave my sister some Mary Portas arm tights which she thought was hilarious :p its a great way to offload some of the random stuff that seems to come through the letterbox.

And I also give lots to people running raffles/tombolas. After all there are only so many toiletries one person can use. This year I'll be giving out baseballs caps as won 4 in the advents!
