Dwell dispute

I ordered a chest of drawers towards the end of november which was due to be delivered on the 22nd December, heard nothing from them until I phone two days later asking what was going on. I was given a choice of days for delivery of which I asked for the 3rd of jan.

On delivery of the item the delivery man broke one of my partners vases, apologies and leaves. We clear up the mess and throw out the vase. The deliveryman didn't meantion we should keep it or take photos of it.

A few days later I get a call from dwell and the ask if I have a receipt or photo, which I don't and tell them the vase was 49.99. They offer me £20 or a £40 volcher via email. Do I have anyway to claim a full refund for the vase and delivery costs due to the wardrobe being a Christmas present and we would have gone else where had we knew it would be delivered after Christmas and I had to take a day off for the original date but not the second.

Apart from the 3rd of Jan what other dates were offered?

I don't see the relevance between delivery date and damage of the vase.

Was the vase bought from Dwell?

The last part (late delivery, Christmas present), whilst annoying, is irrelevant to your claim. If you are claiming against someone for a sum of money then you need some way to justify what you are claiming. A receipt or other proof of payment is valid proof, so they are within their rights to request this.

Is the vase still on sale? Can you find an advert or a website for it? That might help your case. Otherwise you're relying on their goodwill.
