Wow thank you lil_me!!!
Had a quick glance and found all sorts from packed lunches to store cupboard and veggie ideas (I am veggie ish) but the rest of the gang aren't.
I am inspired!!
Not really I am a veggie as well and we dont take fish etc. I sometimes take egg.
My daughter is a forced Vegan (she is allergic to milk ).
If you or anyone wants any tip / recipe or sites that offer recipe on veggie please feel free to ask We will be happy. Although our knowledge is limited to Indian food.0 -
Hello everyone,
I'm in again this month. Last month, my first grocery challenge i was overbudget by £15.00 however i cut down from over £400 a month to £265 so i am pleased with that.
I am going to keep my may budget same as april's at £250 this is for 2 adults and 3 children (14,13 & 7). This will include all food, toiletries, cleaning and any takeaways or eating out.
i have already spent £125.33 of this months budgetFeeding 3 Adults and 1 Fussy Celiac0 -
My first shop was £43.65 - over half my budget!
But I bought washing powder, cleaning supplies and toiletries to last all month, plus I stocked up on meat including bacon, sausages. I should still come in on budget as I only have to buy fruit, veg and milk for the rest of the month.... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

I am so annoyed with myself! Went into Sainsburys for a loaf of bread as it is closest supermarket to me and came out having spent £8.90 on NOTHING!!!! I bought ready made stuff for tea, and I never ever do that even when I am not on a tight budget. Went to the doctors and came out feeling sorry for myself, fancying something nice. Never mind, will have to cut back a bit next week! Hope everyone else is doing better than me.Friday April 9th 2010 the day I become Mrs Jones!

I'd like to join in again this month please. I have kept all my receipts as my month began 24th April, and have spent £149.31 already out of my £260 budget. During May we are down to 2 adults, DSs aged 18 and 16, 3 cats, seven hens and a dog. I have just started selling eggs, we don't get them every day as hens are getting on a bit but have saved £3.60 this week to spend on animal food.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Gingham Ribbons Vegetarian Meal planner thread. I find this useful for me but not DP.
jswaminathanuk I love Indian food, bought myself a recipe book recently which has had a LOT of use. Quite bizarre as until I was pregnant with DS1 I couldn't even stand the smell of the spices in it. Smell of a curry or anything used to make me feel ill, now I love it. I have been very pleased with myself considering most is experimenting. The only thing I am yet to try that I really want to is samosas, not braved that yet, or any dry dishes like biryani ? spOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200

:rotfl: but I however know what you mean. I also popped to the shop today and it came to £9 and only had half a bag! Must be firmer on myself! Saying that the things I went for were things missing from a delivery I ordered.
Farm shop hopefully tomorrow, didn't get chance today. One day I might be more organised...........
