Hi there
I am in the market for a tablet, and its a blinking minefield out there. I know about the flash problems and its a minefield.
I want a tablet that will do the usual facebook stuff including facebook games (flash based) bbc i player tv catch up etc all the things that have sadly been lost due to flash pulling out of google play.
anyway I have been given a few tablets that may fit my needs and would really appriciate you guys help and advice before I commit.
My budget is limited its £150 tops.
The playbook has dropped in price & I know its apps are limited however it does what I need I guess.
Priced around £129
This one was suggested as a better option & I really need feedback:

Playbook 64G if Apps store not needed. That said, I transferred loads of Android apps effortlessly onto my Playbook by switching the tablet to Developer mode and hooking up to my laptop.
Awesome bit of kit. Cue the snipers ....
Edit: Plays back in HD via TV too0 -

Nothing is lost. To clarify, android tablets e.g. Nexus 7 do support Flash, it is Adobe that is pulling out from mobile devices.
Everything that has its own app works well (bbc iplayer, facebook, most facebook games, youtube etc). The rest of flash websites will work when they update to html5.
Btw, you can always download flash to any android tablet but you need to use a different browser (not chrome).0 -
so would you say a nexus then ?***avid money saver***0

The Nexus 7 is a great machine, but it's over your top budget limit.0

If your wanting to stick to your budget then dont get it unless you can find a second hand 1 thats within your budget.0

I'm in a similar situation and this seems to be about the best I can find...still debating though! Any feedback would be appreciated - ty.

Nexus 7 all day long
Look on Gumtree or Ebay and i am sure you should be able to pick one up for £150
Otherwise PM me may be able to help out
Bought one over xmas used it whilst travelling across Asia and boy so glad I had it....now consider it an essential tool and use it more than my laptop
Only minor downside is it lacks a front facing camera
I reckon the tablet is worth at least £200 and not £159 for the base 16gb model although stocks may be limited
Please note - this purely a personal opinion based on my experience of using a Nexus 7
Hope this helps to make your mind up0 -
thanks everyone, \I wish there was somewhere where you could have a good try of them and then decide, I know you can in the big stores but the hastle you & are over your shoulder all the time.***avid money saver***0
