OK before you all call me an absolute idiot..I was told to do this. There is a small flat hole on the front of my laptop with SD written on it and a 'friend' of mine told me to eject the 'thing' in my digital camera and just put it into the slot and it would transfer the pictures to my computer. Anyway, obviously this was wrong and the thing that I put in the hole has now got stuck in it (It was too small and it just kind of 'fell' in ) and I cant pull it out.....laptop still seems to be working fine but Im sure it would be better to get this stupid thing out...
please dont all yell at me Im not in the habit of sticking random objects into ports on my laptop..has anyone got any advice as to how I can get this thing out?

pair of pliers?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

It's probably just a different sized slot to SD card..a regular size one will fit in nicely :-) so not such a silly mistake.
I can only suggest powering down and wiggling with tweezers! Pref. plastic ones, less likely to hurt anything.Debt free 4th April 2007.

I laughed for ages at that. Before realising shortly afterwards that I have also done the same thing with a 10 in 1 card reader.
