Car stolen in Wigan with baby in the back!!!

Seems the thief has more parental scruples than the parents.
Perhaps they are indeed on MSE.
Next moral dilemma; should I have left the baby in the back of the car?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
I don't see any mention in either article about MSE? One says the dad popped into a house to ask about some work, the other says he was stood close to the car chatting to a friend.
He left the engine running and someone hopped and in took off in it - then realised there was a baby in the back and rang the police to tell them where it was. Suppose that makes them only minor scum? :rotfl:0 -
I'm quite impressed that the thief took the time to call the police rather than just dump the car. Good on him (not often I say that about a thief...)!Mortgage when started: £330,995

What kind of idiot leave keys in a car and the engine running with a baby in the back?
If my husband were this thick it'd be ashamed of him, I certainly would be plastering my story over the news.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

I'm quite impressed that they thought to use a phone box :rotfl:
I don't believe the 'he was standing right next to the car' story, that's just what he's saying to save face.
oooh if it was my husband he'd be in the doghouse until the child could talk and alert him to any dangers!Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Maybe I'm alone on this, but I think the OP is being a little ironic and is referencing some recent posts on MSE that go along the lines of "I've done this really stupid thing because I asked for advice on here and then did whatever was said"Not even wrong0

haha im presuming OP was cracking a joke!0 -
It's a snidey dig over the thread a few weeks ago about leaving kids in the car outside supermarkets... OP doesn't quite have the spine to say that they're dredging up that old argument with a different set of circumstances (very very very desirable car for someone to steal, engine on, keys in ignition, door unlocked) so they've just gone for the passive-aggressive approach.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
