Hi, we are currently putting forward a best and final offer letter in to the estate agents on a property we wish to purchase. just needed to know if there is a statutory letter that has been compiled anywhere, or do we just need to say that the offer will be made with the provision for surveyors reports and solicitors searches.

I would be very surprised if your offer whatever it is gets accepted.....you are competing against property developers who will gift estate agents lots of £££'s to have their offer proposed as the highest offer, aswell as friends and investers known to the estate agents. In this cut thoat market,I'd be very surprised if there are many honest estate agents left.....?0

Not true... we had a final & best offer accepted on a repossession property, bidding against several developers (and yes we're aware we may have overpaid but it's still a very good price for the house.)
OP - we just submitted our offer in writing, subject to survey as per usual. Remember to "sell" your position in the best favourable light e.g. FTBs, no chain, willing to move quickly etc as this will all obviously be taken into account. We also included our estate agents' details so they could chain-check, which you may want to consider.
Good luck!0
