I received my dispatch email today too. Glad to see that at least some people have also had their orders go through to dispatched status - hope there's more as well.

Really don't know what the issue is and why some orders were honoured and some weren't though.

Ordered another an hour later from another email address but seem to have had the order cancelled however I haven't received an email to tell me so.

I have been told that they cancelled my order as it was out of stock but this doesn't make sense if I ordered a few days before people who have had theirs despatched? Very confusing and disappointing as I was looking forward to making some cakes :-(

My copy arrived today, well packaged and looks like a lovely book. i wasn't expecting to receive it after reading about the cancelled orders so it was a nice surprise.

I emailed and asked why my first order for sale items was cancelled yet still all available to buy, but my second order for one item without the home discount was honoured. I got a stock email response "out of stock blah blah". So I replied and pointed out that others had had the same items honoured and that they were still in stock. I've been ignored lol.

Which is exactly what I will be doing next time I walk past their shop. Customer lost.

Companies that selectively cancel orders because they can, don't deserve to operate. Next time I shop with them, it will be for their closing down sale lol

Do you think they might be prioritising orders from newly-registered customers or something like that - foolishly at the expense of annoying existing customers by cancelling out their orders?

It seems both strange and unfair that it wasn't a straightforward case of first come, first served.
