Cooperative Energy - Any views?

I'm looking at switching my gas and electricity to this firm, but don't know anybody who uses them and seems to be very little online.

So, who uses them and would you recommend?

They are an established smaller supplier, middle rated by Which.

They are an onseller of gas, whom buy in bulk from a business energy provider.

As they move up the pricing tier, they do pass-on the cheaper prices to their customers. They dropped their prices by 2% recently. All readings are submitted online & they do warn you if your energy use is increasing.
They also only have the 2 tariffs for electricity. So no confusing range of prices and deals to wade through.

If you do sign-up, sign-up for a Co-Op Divi card at the same time & you get a % of the profits back. Usually works-out at 2p/£

And if you send in monthly meter readings, you get more points on your card.

We switched to them over a year ago. Nothing to say really - they supply electricity and gas and we pay them. No problems - the switchover went very smoothly and all transactions have been trouble-free.

No news is good news in this case.

They are much cheaper than EON in my area at least.

I work for the company but not the energy division. If you are going to switch then now is probably one of the best times to do it. The deal they offer is good to ensure they get market share. The more market share they get the cheaper they get their whole sale prices and these cost reductions are being passed on currently. I dont currently use them as i am on a fixed rate which works out cheaper else where but once this finished i would likely move across.

They are ethical so unlikely to pull the direct debit trick that people like eon use to get you into massive credit with them.

The company is customer focused so i wouldnt anticipate any issues.

Does a comparison site show they are the cheapest for you?
Are you happy with a variable rate tariff?

If the answer to both the above questions is yes, then why not switch to them?
