This thread has inspired me to look into creatine. Is there a quality brand people could point me to - I'm not into penny pinching for it's own sake.
OP - short high intensity workouts from the world of MMA are your freind if you want to burn the fat, attain high levels of ALL ROUND fitness (not just the plodding steady fitness your typical runner / cylist has) and strengthn your core.0 -

I'd go for Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine powder. Which ever creatine you do pick try to get the CreaPure creatine, its more highly rated.
I wouldnt bother with the "loading" phase, just take 5 grams post workout or in the morning on your rest days. I believe these loading phases are a ploy to use more. Your muscles will get saturated it'll just take a little longer. Remember to get plenty of water in whilst on creatine.
What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it ...0 -
Hi,Creatine does help growth in muscle fibers due to its ability to lift heavier and more intensely, it primarily results in muscle volumization.Creatine is a natural component and increased ATP which helps the body build more muscle.0

When I use it I get a sore head, despite drinking a lot.
It does help a lot with workout intensity and strength though so I put up with it as long as I don't have exams0 -

But before Xmas I was talked into using creatine, I did the usual 5 day load, now just having 5grm per day(teaspoon).
I am training really well after a long forced break, but I never would of expected to be bench pressing 90kg already.
It really does seem to be helping me to recover a lot quicker, and I starting to believe that I will be benching 100kg in maybe the next three months, I never thought that would happen again.
Should(or can) I keep taking it? or do I need a break from it after a few months.
Has anyone else used creatine, what do you think, did you notice any improvemet?
Do you think it will be much use when I start doing some serious cardio in a few months and cut down on the weights?
creatine increases your water retention therefore increases strength slightly but half of the creatine products you buy are not that effective whatever your benching now you could bench without taking any supplements.
the only supplement that ive ever taken that has increased my lifts was NO Explode which gave such a energy burst it just allowed you to go further.0 -

You need to use it PRE-workout, not post for best effect. It's an amino acid essential in creating ATP which provides more energy to muscles during a workout, hence increasing power and strength.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
