Nexus 7 tablet wifi connection issue - Help

Have a Nexus 7 tablet which I love, superb piece of kit but have noted slight irritating issue

Each time the tablet is not used for any time and goes into sleep mode, it fails to pick up the WiFi signal from my router when I try to use it again

I have to go into settings, disconnect the WiFi connection and reconnect again in order for it to work which gets very tedious after a time

Anyone else have this issue and know if there is solution?

Any advice appreciated

    Go into settings then Wifi.
In the top right press the three dots
    choose advanced
Select "Keep WI-FI on during sleep" and choose "Always".

Have you tried it out round at someone else's house or McDonalds or somewhere to see if it is your Nexus or the router?

I think I would be resetting the router, maybe changing channels on the router to see if that helps, but if it turns out to be doing the same thing on someone else network, its time to think about a factory reset on the Nexus.

Yeah and I'd try that first as well. :)

I have not (knowingly) done that on our Nexus. It never loses the wifi signal, whether off or sleep. By that I mean, when we come to use it the wifi is there straight away.
