Buying stuff online when you're not even sure what you need will just lead to hassle. If you're technically not able to buy (and have the knowledge, if not the inclincation, to fit) the parts yourself, then you need to just go to a garage and have them do it.

If the garage dismantles your car and finds out the part isn't quite right or faulty you'll end up paying twice.

That said, forewarned is forearmed! If you read up on what you need, and have an idea of how much it should cost, then you can discuss the problem with them, and challenge their estimate if it seems high. If you come across as someone reasonably knowlegeable but don't have the right tools/skills/time, you're less likely to be fleeced than if you just say "fix it" and hold out a credit card.

I recently had a track rod end replaced and the total cost was
about £90ish. I think it was something like £30 for the part (had to come from Hyundai), plus an hour or so labour to fit and set the tracking.
