Just got back. Went really well. Didn't have to see the Judge. OR rang when we were on our way back, and is ringing again Tuesday after she has got the paperwork through. She said we can use our Barclays accounts and didn't see a problem with me getting a cheap car after my car on HP goes back. She also said that depending on how much info is on the forms, we might not need an interview and if we do it will ony be a telephone one.
So things are looking up. Thank you to everyone for your help and support x0 -

If you are going bankrupt believing this , you are very much mistaken.
Okay the debt has gone and the creditors may stop chasing, but life is not all a life of roses.
You have to evaluate why you ended up in this position, for some it is easy but for those who have used excess credit to live , suddenly do not have this facility.
If you have reasonable income , you can still have a reasonable life but for those who may have been struggling before, you have no safety net of credit. It can be scary. You have to hope things do not go wrong, you have to completely change your spending habits.
It can be done as many on here will testify, but is hard work and you have to except that it will take time to be "normal" like everyone else,0 -
Kepar thanks for your reply.I don't know if OP went through the same range of emotions as I am, my comment wasn't meant to be taken as a bed of roses , more the emotional side prior to BR is so intense that nothing on the other side should be as draining .mum "e" to the most perfect girl :Awho stood by me through it all nana to my beautiful grandson WLM 27.09.13:j

I understood what you meant.
Yes the emotional stress before the BR was very draining and upsetting and although the court bit is over, it's still very daunting waiting for the OR interview. (But the relief of getting that BR letter is a huge weight off)
As Kepar said, it's definately not just as simple as getting rid of the debt. We have lived on credit and relied on it to get us through and now it's gone. This week inparticular is very difficult. After having the BR fees and the rent to pay all on the same day, we are skint and no money till Friday, No fuel in car, hardly any food in house and with 5 kids to feed it's even harder. So we don't feel like we are 'out of the woods' yet. But this is a fresh start and things will get better, just need to get this week out the way...0
