Hi there, i'm moving house soon and am looking to upgrade my tv, but am not sure whether to go for LCD or Plasma.
My budget is about £600 - £1000
If it helps, i am into films and like watching DVD's, and i am a bit fussy about picture quality.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, thanks...

Go & look at some in Currys etc. they usually have them all playing DVDs
It used to be said that anything upto 32" - LCD was better, with plasma taking over after that.
Things move so fast though that that advice is no longer valid.0 -
You should be able to get a nice panasonic 42" plasma for the top end of your budget. which would be my choice for brighter picture and blacker blacks.0

We just bought our second 42" plasma (Pioneer £1,200 from Currys).
Its £1,300 in store, but you can get £100 off on the web or reserve for collection & get the web price.
I know its a little above your budget, but according to my husband & any male who enters this house its "fantastic" & "best brand".
Anyway its nice.0
