need free way of contacting capital one credit card

:jhi, does anyone know if there is a free way of contacting capital one credit card?

i got my online password wrong and so my a/c is blocked.

to unblock it means calling a costly 0844 number which i cannot afford.

capital 1 does not offer to call u back.

Try a free or local rate number and ask to be transferred.

Go to the FAQ Section and under the Forgotten password subject they direct you to a screen to give you a temporary password or something like that.

0844 numbers cost 5p per min from a landline (not too bad for a premium rate number).

The only way I think you could try without being charged, which is what I did today is :-

Call the card Capital One card activation number on
0800 952 5090.

When it asks you to press a number to activate a card, press nothing.
It will then ask you the same question again, but do not press any buttons.
You will then be transferred to a customer services rep.
