I have recently opened a Barclay's Current account and understandably have no Pre-Selected offers available yet.
But I was wondering when will I start getting these, and what are they normally for ?, is it for overdrafts etc ?.
Thanks

When your wages start hitting your account for a period of time normally 3-6 months.0 -
They can offer a variety of things such as increased overdraft, loan, Barclaycards, etc.
Manage your account well and have a regular income going into that account and you soon see them0 -
The 'pre-selected' offers mean you are able to apply for these products over the phone or online, you can still visit a branch and complete a full application at any time.
If its for an overdraft I would wait a few months as previously mentioned.0 -
Pre-selected offers generate on the first Monday/Tuesday of each month so try and have cash left in your account on these days.
Remember to keep Barclays updated with your salary details etc.
I have had an account with Barclays for over a year and only now being offered pre-approvals despite having perfect credit files and regularly using the account.0 -
It's a pretty good system re overdrafts although it's getting a bit silly now offering me a 6k one...0
